چکیده

Electronic Hanbury Brown Twiss correlations are discussed for geometries in which transport is along adiabatically guided edge channels. We briefly discuss partition noise experiments and discuss the effect of inelastic scattering and dephasing on current correlations. We then consider a two-source Hanbury Brown Twiss experiment which demonstrates strikingly that even in geometries without an Aharonov-Bohm effect in the conductance matrix (secondorder interference), correlation functions can (due to fourth-order interference) be sensitive to a flux. Interestingly we find that this fourth-order interference effect is closely related to orbital entanglement. The entanglement can be detected via violation of a Bell Inequality in this geometry even so particles emanate from uncorrelated sources.

First principles studies on band structures and density of states of graphite surface oxides

Graphite oxide constitutes carbon network with oxygen atoms both on hexagonal arrangement and the edge sites. Structural and electronic properties for graphite-oxygen complexes have been explored using first-principles total-energy calculations within the local density approximation (LDA). Band structures and density of states for the propose carbon 3D models are reported. A finite energy gap and...

Energy Levels of InGaAs/GaAs Quantum Dot Lasers with Different Sizes

In this paper, we have studied the strain, band-edge, and energy levels of cubic InGaAs quantum dots (QDs) surrounded by GaAs. It is shown that overall strain value is larger in InGaAs-GaAs interfaces, as well as in smaller QDs. Also, it is proved that conduction and valence band-edges and electron-hole levels are size dependent; larger QD sizes appeared to result in the lower recombination...

Access and Mobility Policy Control at the Network Edge

The fifth generation (5G) system architecture is defined as service-based and the core network functions are described as sets of services accessible through application programming interfaces (API). One of the components of 5G is Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) which provides the open access to radio network functions through API. Using the mobile edge API third party analytics applications ...

Theory of the edge states in fractional quantum Hall effects *

The dynamical theory of the edge excitations of generic fractional quantum Hall (FQH) states is summarized and expanded. The low energy effective theory of the edge excitations for the most general abelian FQH states (including spin-unpolarized and multi-layer FQH states) and some non-abelian FQH states is derived using several different methods. The propagators of the electrons and the quasipa...
